Mahe Nightlife

Mahé Island is the most popular tourist destination in the Republic of Seychelles which is made of a collection of 115 islands. However, everything is mostly centered around Mahé. The island’s Indian Ocean coastline, the dense green forests and coconut plantations all make for very endearing views. The beaches are the hot spots for vacationing tourists here.

If you are looking for an exciting nightlife in the Seychelles Mahé Island is the best place to be. Although there are night clubs, discotheques and casinos at Praslin Island and Beau Vallon Bay, they are not as popular as the ones in Mahé itself.
The capital of the Seychelles is Victoria, located on Mahé as well. Therefore, it is a tourist hub in and around Victoria. Most of the well-known hotels are situated on this island as well.

These hotels have nightclubs, discos, bars and casinos so if you are not up for travelling outside the hotel at night, you can party on the spot.

Katiolo

This open-air nightclub in Anse Faure is located between the International Airport and Anse Royale. The dress code here is strict in the sense that customers are not allowed to come in shorts or flip-flops. Patrons under 18 years of age are not allowed in either.

Lovenut

Located in Victoria, Lovenut is another must-visit on Mahé Island if you are in the mood for some serious partying.

Oxygen

This nightclub is regarded as the prime competitor of The Jungle on Praslin Island. If you are looking for an intense party scene on the Seychelles, this is the place to be.

Ozone

Mahé Island has a nightclub which is in fierce competition with Katiolo. This one is called Ozone. This nightclub entertains its customers with raffles and prizes.

Tequila Boom Nightclub

Also located in Victoria at Beau Belle, this nightclub plays the latest club music, offers happy hours on Sundays and opens up the dance floor on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Although the drinks can be slightly pricy here, the ambience is worth it.

The Jungle

Located on Praslin Island, this nightclub blends the tropical experience with modernity. The entry fee includes a free drink. On Tequila Fridays anything served by Neddy the barman is for a flat fee. DJs such as Joseph Sinon and Jean Marc Volcy are frequently seen spinning at the turntables to keep the crowd on their feet.

Amusement Centre

There are 200 loose slot machines and casino opening hours extend from 10:00 – 02:00. Formal dress code is to be maintained after 18:00 inside the casino.

Berjaya International Casino Management

This casino is one of the largest, around having 55 slot machines and 16 gaming tables plus there are private rooms for high-betting game tables. The minimum on gaming tables are two and five US dollars on Black Jack and Roulette respectively.

Level 3 Bar

Like most other nighttime hangout venues, Level 3 Bar is located in Victoria. Every Friday locals as well as tourists flock down to this bar where they enjoy a few drinks and have a good time till the early hours of the following morning. It is voted as the best bar in the island.

Pirates Arms Pub

This bar/pub is also a casino and is located on Independence Avenue in Victoria. Although the food can be a lot better than it is, the ambience is good and the drinks are impressive. However, it is a little expensive for those on a shoestring budget.

Deepam Cinema

The only movie theatre in Seychelles, Deepam Cinema showcases two film screenings on weekdays and three screenings on weekends. It can seat 247 viewers at once and is located at Victoria.

Sunset Cruise

If you are looking for something romantic and extravagant on your honeymoon, you can hire the Mary Mary cruise. Complementary soft drinks and water are included within this rate, it certainly is not cheap.
